The HHPD has a Traffic Services Unit that investigates and follows up on serious accidents. This unit is currently has 5 active members that are available on a call out basis. The unit is under the direct supervision of Sergeant Matt Dulaney who is also a trained accident investigator. The six members of the team are Sergeant Mike Eagan, Sergeant Anthony Ashley, Officers Kerry Combs, Officer Brad Reaman, Officer Michael Reckner, and Officer Brandon Sucher.
All of these Officers have received extensive training in the investigation and reconstruction of motor vehicle crashes. Several have received additional training for crashes involving pedestrians, motorcycles, and commercial motor vehicles.
