Due to changes brought down by the State of Ohio, all background check fingerprinting must be done through an electronic system, and the Huber Heights Police Division is not equipped to do so. The system is not provided by the State and would have to be purchased by the City at a cost of several thousand dollars. In addition to the cost of the system itself, it requires a charge of $22 to $32 per transaction, and most background checks require two transactions.
The Huber Heights Police Division is researching possible solutions; however, in the mean time will no longer be providing fingerprint services for background checks due to the cost of installing the required system and the cost of each transaction. There are three locations in Huber Heights identified below that residents may go to for background transactions. Please note there is a significant charge for the transactions, so you are advised to call first to arrange for the service.
