Road Patrol

The Huber Heights Police Division currently has an authorized staffing of 43 patrol officers. The patrol officers are responsible for the protection of life and property, prevention of crime, apprehension of criminals, and general enforcement of laws and ordinances. The Division of Police is responsible for patrolling and protecting a growing city of more than 39,000 people with over 13,000 homes and over 700 businesses covering over 20 square miles of land and 350 miles of roads 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Lieutenant Mark Lightner is the section commander. He is also responsible for HHPD's involvement in the Regional Emergency Response Team, our Canine Program, Bike Patrol, and many other facets of the operations side of HHPD.
