Communications Officers are the lifeline for those needing medical attention or police services. Communications Officers are trained in a number of technical areas. In addition to the ability to handle both police and fire radio traffic, Huber Heights Communications Officers are also trained in Emergency Medical Dispatching that qualifies them to give pre-arrival instructions to callers. This information can have a significant effect on the successful outcome of an emergency call.
This division is under the direct supervision of Lt. Gustin. He oversees the day to day operation of the communications center. He also oversees the records supervisor and two data entry personnel.
