Accreditation

Law Enforcement Accreditation

The Huber Heights Police Division was awarded full accredited status on July 30, 2005 by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The Commission requires that accredited law enforcement agencies establish and maintain high professional standards in all administrative, management and service-delivery aspects of the organization. By achieving and maintaining these standards, the Huber Heights Police Division is recognized internationally in delivering professional, high quality law enforcement services to the citizens of Huber Heights. The Division has also contracted with CALEA to obtain accreditation for the Communications Center. This process will better ensure improvements in technology, training, and operations, along with improved delivery of public safety services to the community by standardizing operations and confirming a high standard of professional public safety service. The City would be the first in the State to achieve international accreditation.
